The One Ton Challenge!

Hey everyone, my friends at the Shrugged Collective (Barbell Shrugged) are releasing their newest training program this week called the One Ton Challenge.  I love the idea and wanted to share it with you.

The idea is simple…

It’s all about getting as STRONG AS POSSIBLE.

The goal is to train specifically to improve your One Ton Total.

The One Ton Total is a combination of weightlifting (Snatch, Clean, Jerk) and powerlifting (Back Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift).

Throughout the program (every 8 weeks) you attempt a new PR in one of the 6 lifts then at the end of the program you’ll max out on all 6 over the course of a single weekend to see if you lift your way into the One Ton Club (have totalled over 2000 pounds for guys / 1200 for ladies).

Totaling over 2000/1200 is a huge milestone in strength and gives you the right to say you’re pretty damn strong!

Travis Mash, former powerlifting world record holder and currently one of the best weightlifting coaches in the USA, wrote all the programming.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

I highly recommend everyone check out this program.  This page as all the details about the One Ton Challenge Training Program; click here: ONE TON CHALLENGE

  1. Hi! Has anyone participated in this challenge last year? Unfortunately, I was really busy at college so was not able to get as STRONG AS POSSIBLE with the team of Shrugged Collective. However, this year, I have found a solution on this website where I get all my essays done in the shortest time so study will not be a problem anymore. Anyway, looking forward to the new challenges!

  2. I love this post because, From starting I like all challenging part. Because I can face all type challenge. Gustavo Woltmann
